*NEW* Air Jordan I (1) - Chlorophyll Polka Dot Pack

I LOVE THESE SHOES!!! From what I hear there have been a lot of Air Jordan 1 colorways featuring polka dot lately and now there is 2 more styles that can be added to the trend.

The first sneaker is an Air Jordan Retro 1 Mid. It hosts a black nubuck base with chlorophyll hits seen on the stitching, out-sole, polka dots, and logos, while white accents are visible via the mid-sole.

The second sneaker is an Air Jordan 1 Phat Low which yields a white leather upper with chlorophyll accents.

"Dance Flick" Movie Review

Yesterday I attended a special sneak peek of Dance Flick. It was pretty funny in the beginning but towards the middle it started getting really inappropriate. There was a lot of sexual humor, there were parts were I was crackin up so hard but there were also parts that were meant to be funny but I kind of just sat there like "wow they did not just say that." I think they took it a little to far in some scenes and could have left out certain parts. In my opinion, I would say that this movie is def for a mature audience and that it is way to inappropriate for young kids. To tell the truth, I think this is a movie you should skip, but that's just my opinion.

Michael Vick Released From Prison

Early this morning, Vick left his Kansas prison to begin home confinement in Virginia, his attorneys say that they hope this will lead to his reinstatement. Vick was sentinced to 19 months for financing a dogfighting ring. He has to compleate two months of home confinement at his five-bedroom house in Hampton before a scheduled released from federal custody on July 20.

Police Brutality??

Lately in the news here where I live, police brutality has been a very hot subject. Earlier in the year a Hmong boy was shot in killed by a police officer who claimed that the young boy had a gun. His family is asking to have the officer removed because there are speculations that a gun was planted next to his body at the sceen. There is no solid evidence that the young boy was carrying a gun and his finger prints were not anywhere on the gun. There is also a video tape of the incident and you can see that he had no gun on him. People are pretty upset about this whole issue. It seems that police brutality is also a hot topic in the new in other states also. Watch this video provided by CNN of 14-year old Trevor Casey who police say refused to move off a stoop in his neighborhood in Ohio. Its pretty obvious to me that this is def police brutality. What do you think, were the police just doing their job or did they take it way to far??

Diamond is just like many girls, she’s pretty, has a great voice, and LOVES attention. “The Divas” really shows the pressure of trying to become big and famous and the truth behind relationships. Victoria hit the T on this one! I absolutely loved this book! I even gave it to a friend after I was done reading it and she loved it just as much as I did! I definitely give this book 5 stars!!!

“If I Was Your Girl” By Ni-Ni Simone…BOOK REVIEW!!!

Drama this fierce can only lead to trouble…

“If I Was Your Girl” is a book you won’t want to put down. Toi McKnight, is a 16 year old teen parent, who deals with her babies daddy, trying to stay in school, keep her job at IHOP, and tons of baby momma drama. But when a good guy finally comes around, Toi finds it hard to trust that he won’t hurt her like every other no good thug shes ever been with. A story about the reality of being a teenage parent, it is one of the best teenage parent books I’ve ever read. I finished it in less than 2 days!!! I definitely give this book 5 stars!

Give A Helping Hand

Creators of Pastry and the stars of MTV's hit show "Daddy's Girls" recently visited the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles to share their sweet styles and smiles with some of the many patients located at the hospital. The girls spent their time playing games such as, Trouble and GUESSDURES, and having lots of fun with the patients. They are proud to announce their affiliation with the Children’s Miracle Network. I don't know about you, but Vanessa and Angela are huge inspirations to me and motivate me to also go out and give a helping hand this summer by volunteering for a special cause.
